Therapy Dog Visit & Celebrating National Social Work Month
Therapy Dog Visit
Crystal, the therapy dog from Paws for Love – A program of the SPCA Serving Erie County, brought endless smiles and comfort during her visit with us this week. The children adored her presence, highlighting the special bond therapy animals create in providing much-needed support.
Her tail was wagging happily from room to room – the love she received from both children and adults while she roamed the halls at BHSC was endless.
🐾National Social Work Month
One of my favorite days of the year is having lunch with our BHSC Social Workers to thank them for being who they are and for all they do.
Thank you to each member of our Social Work Team for your unwavering dedication to helping our children and their families. Your compassion, empathy, and tireless efforts make a profound difference in the lives of so many individuals.
You remind me of one of my favorite book characters, “The Velveteen Rabbit,” who spent his life helping others to become loved and real.
Happy National Social Work Month!
Be Well, Joe Cozzo
