We are thrilled to share that the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center (BHSC) was recently featured on Channel 2 WGRZ-TV for the debut of brand-new, state-of-the-art classrooms that are already making a meaningful impact on students and families.
The feature, celebrating the dedication of the classroom wing to the Scott Bieler Family Foundation, and ribbon cutting – aired as part of WGRZ’s “As Seen on TV” segment – highlights the unveiling of this new educational space at our North Street Campus. Created with accessibility and inclusion in mind, the new classrooms support neurodivergent children in a welcoming and rich learning environment, tailored to meet their individualized learning and therapy needs.
These four new classrooms were made possible thanks to the generous support of the Scott Bieler Family Foundation and stands as a testament to what can be achieved when community and philanthropy come together in support of children’s education and communication development. These aren’t simply classrooms, they’re one-of-a-kind spaces designed to foster growth, build confidence, and help every child thrive. Each classroom will serve six students, allowing BHSC to expand its current school capacity and services by 24 additional children – students who would otherwise be among the more than 200+ children still on a waiting list for critical services.
In the WGRZ interview, Joesph Cozzo, President and CEO of BHSC, speaks candidly on how this addition aligns with BHSC’s mission to provide high-quality services to children with special needs. Every detail of the wing reflects BHSC’s commitment to excellence and innovation in education and therapy.
We are deeply grateful to Scott Bieler, President and CEO of the West Herr Automotive Group, and his wife Kathy Bieler, for helping us tell this story and for shining a spotlight on the important work that our staff do every single day. This community awareness is key to continuing our mission and expanding our reach to children and families who need us most.
