Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center was proud to welcome students from the University at Buffalo Department of Psychiatry for a special Tour & Informational Session at our North Street location. Coordinated in partnership with Elizabeth Sengupta, this visit provided students with an exclusive look at BHSC’s programs and approach to serving children and families across Western New York.
During the session, students had the opportunity to:
- Tour the North Street school and clinic
- Attend a presentation highlighting BHSC’s mission, services, and impact
- Observe classrooms and therapies in action
- Interact with the students they may work with during future fieldwork
This experience is designed to give students a deeper understanding of the populations they will serve, the value of interdisciplinary teamwork, and the real-life settings where their future work may take place. It’s exciting to see what knowledge they’ll bring to the field and how we can help students gain valuable insights that will enhance their understanding as they move forward in their goals and careers.
BHSC is committed to supporting future professionals by offering meaningful learning opportunities that foster collaboration, awareness, and compassion in the field of behavioral health and education.
We thank the UB Department of Psychiatry and Elizabeth Sengupta for their partnership and look forward to future collaborations that continue to inspire and educate the next generation of care providers.
