Applications are now open for the 2026 Dena Goldstein Memorial Scholarship, proudly sponsored by Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center and affiliated with the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. This annual scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior in Western New York who plans to continue their education and has been accepted into an institution of higher learning.
Qualifications
This scholarship, affiliated with the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo and sponsored by Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center, is restricted to a graduating high school senior in Western New York who plans to further his/her education and has been accepted to an institution of higher learning. Applicants must be individuals who have a disability in the area of speech, language, and/or hearing and have benefited directly from speech and/or hearing services.
Considerations
Applicants who meet the qualifications listed above and who exhibit one or more of Dena’s attributes will be given high consideration. Applicants who show determination, are spirited, adventurous, and/or sociable, do not let obstacles stand in the way of pursuing their dreams, and are involved in student government or other student activities will be highly considered.
Procedures
Applications must be accompanied by 1-2 letters of reference. Completed applications must be submitted by: Friday, April 17, 2026 (11:59 pm).
Award
This annual scholarship (amount to be determined) will be awarded in June 2026. The winner will be contacted.
