This esteemed recognition reflects BHSC’s dedication to the Developmental, Individual-differences, and Relationship-based (DIR) model, which is essential to their inclusive educational approach. By fostering DIR strategies in their practices, BHSC creates a nurturing environment where every child’s unique developmental needs are met.
One of the nominators shared that BHSC has supported over 150 educators and therapists to engage in DIR courses and conferences, which is an impressive commitment to quality developmental therapy.
BHSC’s reach goes beyond classrooms, encompassing specialized training and educational parent workshops. With a dedicated DIR advocate at each site and ongoing grant funding to expand these initiatives, BHSC is truly making a lasting impact on children and families throughout Western New York.
