COTA

Major Responsibilities

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant  is responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients of the Center whose ability to function is impaired by congenital or developmental disability, physical illness or injury, in order to achieve optimum treatment, habilitation or rehabilitation.  The COTA works as a member of a multidisciplinary team in developing and implementing goals for each child's Individualized Educational Plan in accordance with the Stanley Greenspan Philosophy for preschoolers with disabilities that demonstrate characteristics of autism or a pervasive developmental delay.
