59th Annual Conference of The International Dyslexia Association

Lynn Scheuer, Director of Literacy and Contracts, Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center and Joseph Cozzo, President and CEO of Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center have been asked to present an Extended Symposium at the 59th Annual Conference of The International Dyslexia Association, to be held October 29th – November 1, 2008 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle, Washington. Their work was chosen among hundreds of research and practice proposals submitted for this prestigious annual event.

They will be speaking to an assembly of participants coming from all over the world to learn the latest research findings and best practice commentary from academics, researchers, and practitioners. Their topic: "Literacy Intervention from a Speech/Language and Psychological Perspective: Achieving Therapeutic Targets While Fostering Self-Advocacy and Self-Esteem," will present the process and results of Buffalo Hearing & Speech Centers’ nationally acclaimed Literacy Intervention and Re-claiming program, Language to Literacy.
